The Uganda Journal is a publications of the Uganda society, an open member’s association interested in all aspects and sectors of Ugandan society. At it’s inception in 1923, the Journal’s main objectives were to publish information which could add to the knowledge of Uganda and to record for prosperity that which in the course of times might be lost. These remain important aims of the journal. But over time the Journal has grown to include other objectives, so that it has become the society’s forum for broader intellectual exchanges and debate about Uganda. The emphasis always, is for the Journal maintain a strong organic linkage with the lager Ugandan public in all its diversity.
